For you mum, with all my art

A Mother’s Day gift that pops the whole family into the picture

Family portraits just got a whole lot funkier.  With photo-to-art services, favourite shots of family members can be turned into a pop art canvas set, all from the comfort of home.  It’s a striking, modern and, more importantly, convenient alternative to a traditional studio sitting.

A pop art family portrait makes the ultimate, personalised gift for Mother’s Day.

Getting all the family together for any kind of family photo is a logistical nightmare and many mothers have long since given up trying.

With a pop art portrait, each family member can choose their own photo for ‘popping’ and email it to the artist.  So big sisters in London, little brothers in Canada and those lucky enough to live next door to mum, all have the same input into the gift.

Matt Pascoe, from leading online pop art service, PascoePopArt.com, says, “Family pop art portraits really allow each family member to take part in putting the set together”.

“I’ve just finished a family set where each photo came from different parts of the world – one sibling in London, one in Japan, one in Brisbane and one in Sydney.  I’m pretty sure theirs is going to be a very happy and surprised mother on May 9th.”

“The photo-to-pop art technique allows you to create beautiful single portraits or wonderful canvas collections based on one or any number of photos”, explains Pascoe.

Pop art family portraits can be created in any size and colour.

In the media: You are art

Home decorators putting themselves in the picture

Modern home owners are adding the ultimate personal touch to their empty wall spaces by hanging bold canvas artworks featuring their loved ones.

Rather than resorting to mass-produced prints offered by most home décor retailers, the savvy home decorator is transforming their own ordinary photos into huge, original works of art.

There are a number of businesses now offering this photo-to-art service, where ordinary photos are digitally made-over into larger-than-life stylised portraits.  Size and colour is only limited by the home decorator’s desires.

Pascoe Pop Art, a leading online photo-to-art service, has been turning photos into personalised canvas art since 2006.

Matt Pascoe, founder of Pascoe Pop Art, says “People are looking for something unique and edgy to feature on their walls.”

“We’ve seen a rise in orders of canvases over a metre wide, where the customer clearly has an interior design vision for the portrait in their room.  The pieces this large look incredible.”

“It’s always so rewarding to see a small low-res photo of someone’s treasured moment transformed into a huge canvas.  And the pop art style really gives the image a timeless quality that will last a lifetime,” explains Matt.

The photo-to-art service is great for favourite shots of couples, kids and pets and coordinated sets make fantastic modern portraits of the whole family.

Pascoe Pop Art is based in Australia and prints and delivers canvases all over the globe.
